Alan Hart Coloroso

Alan Hart Coloroso went to his forever home on June 10, 2024. He is survived by his wife Lee Ann Day, his daughters Debbie Medford (Ray), Cindy Medford (Justin), Beth Coloroso (Brian), and Melody Gonzales (Mike), 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1great great granddaughter. Alan was proceeded in death by his first wife Elaine Ruth Coloroso, granddaughters Jennifer Gonzales and Christie Medford and his brother Robert Coloroso.

Alan was born January 2, 1936 in Denver Colorado to John Perry Coloroso and Florence Marie Coloroso. He grew up in North Denver, graduated from North High School, and attended CU in Boulder. He was a wrestler at CU.

Alan met his first love Elaine Ruth Mayhew in 1955 while living next door to each other. Alan and Elaine were married in 1957 despite the concerns of Elaine’s parents that Alan was a wild, stockcar racing rebel who might not be good husband material. Alan proved them wrong by giving them 4 beautiful daughters and the rest of a very large family. He was an honorable man in life and business, a faithful husband and loving father.

Alan met his second wife Lee Ann in 1994. He was blessed to have found a second true love. They were married in 1999. Alan and Lee Ann celebrated 25 wonderful years filled with adventures and travel.

Alan’s favorite family times were the large, very loud, Christmas celebrations, with lot’s of family, all of the birthday’s, and his annual birthday dinner at Amici’s or other Italian restaurants. He especially loved the Easter celebration’s with all of the little ones enjoying an Easter egg hunt.

All of us, Lee Ann, Debbie, Cindy, Beth, Melody, all of the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughter thank you, Al (Dad), for being in our lives. You gave us laughs, love, and got us into some crazy situations because of your strong determination. We will miss you terribly and all of the good you brought to our lives. There is a very big hole left in the hearts of all who loved you. We love you. See you soon!
