Ann was born in Davenport, Iowa to Edward and Elizabeth Culbertson. During WW II, Ann married Arthur McDermott. After the war, Arthur worked for IBM and their lives traveling with his career began. In 1963, with a final move to Boulder, CO they raised two children, Lisa and Craig. Ann also had a 19 year career as a long-distance operator with Mountain Bell / AT&T.
One accomplishment she was very proud of was her Life Master in bridge, she continued to play the game she loved until 95. Ann also loved to play golf and watched golf tournaments every weekend. She maintained her sense of humor to the end, making her caregivers laugh with the one and only joke she could still remember.
Rest in peace Nana, enjoy all those heavenly golf courses and bridge games.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. If you wish to donate in her honor, please consider one of her favorite charities, The American Indian College Fund.
