Anna Maria Dickerson

She was born on January 1, 1927 to Karl Melchior and Maria Rosina Rauch in Würzburg, Germany. After 94 years of life, she passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home in Aurora, Colorado on May 19, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Melchior Rauch, and her son Ronald Karl Dickerson. She is survived by her sister, Cecilia Schabel; her son, Eugen Josef Dickerson and daughter-in-law, Eunice Dickerson; her grandchildren, Karl Ronald Dickerson and his wife Shannon, Maria Anna Chevalier and her husband Richard, Christopher Dale Dickerson and his wife Jacie, Timothy James Dickerson and his wife Melissa, and Rosina Katharina Dickerson; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She spent many of her young professional years as a nurse, especially at General Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver. In Germany, she was a member of the BVS Sports Club, where she enjoyed many sports and activities. She was an avid skier and swimmer, and she enjoyed bowling, gardening, and hiking - especially at Mount Evans and Echo Lake. While she was short in stature, she was huge in heart and personality. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Olinger Highland in Thornton, CO on June 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
