Carol was born on October 26, 1945, in Bloomfield, Missouri, to Lucille Shipman and William Edward. She was raised alongside her beloved sister, Connie DeWitt, with whom she shared a lifelong bond.
On February 9, 1964, Carol married the love of her life, Lloyd Estes. Their love story began on a blind date and grew into a devoted marriage filled with family, laughter, and shared memories. Together they built a loving home and raised three children: Cindy, Lucinda, and Jeff Estes.
Carol was a proud and devoted grandmother to six grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She dedicated many years of service to the State of Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, from which she retired after a fulfilling career marked by commitment and integrity.
Above all else, Carol had a true love and passion for playing the piano. Music was her refuge and her gift, and those who heard her play will forever remember the warmth and emotion she poured into every note.
Carol will be forever remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and her beautiful music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
