David Kirk Card

June 9, 1941 – June 10, 2025

David Kirk Card, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on June 9, 1941, in Michigan to Russel and Donalda Card.

In September of 1970, David and Carol Bellamy were joined hand in hand in marriage. They shared a strong and loving marriage until Carol’s passing in 2023, which they now reunite that love and marriage spiritually. Together, they raised three children: Bonnie, Simon, and Daniel. David faced the loss of Bonnie at a young age, a loss that weighed heavily on him but never dimmed his love for his family.

David worked for over 42 years at the Denver Post until his retirement there, operating in the printing press with dedication and pride until his retirement. David always had something to keep him busy after retirement from the Denver Post as he worked other jobs up into his late 70's as he was always a hard worker.

Outside of work, David enjoyed photography and had a deep fascination with the night sky. He spent many evenings with his telescope, exploring the stars and planets with wonder.

David is survived by his son Simon and his wife Mary, and their sons Logan and Trevor, and his son Daniel and his wife Danielle, and their daughters Danika and Daviana.

A private service will be held in his honor.
