David Duane Waddell

David Duane Waddell - Passed with peace on January 30th 2017. Survived by daughter Krista Wittman and her Husband Jason in Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren: Anthony Waddell, Makayla Knoll and Madalyn Wittman; Parents Donal and Joan Waddell, sisters: Diane Waddell Frye, Dee Price, and Marti Price and brothers: Kevin Waddell and Mark Price.

David was born in Westminster Colorado on April 8th, 1956. He was 60 years young when he left us.

David went to Westminster (Westy) High School and shortly after graduating, he started working at Storage Tek in the warehouse. He continued to work there for over 35 years until his health declined and he was no longer able to work . David lost his mother when he was a young man and he was able to cope with his grief by joining the Sereff Taekwon-Do Self Defense & Physical Fitness Center. Here is where he met his second family and spent a lifetime dedicating his heart, body and soul to the sport. He was an honorable student and well respected instructor. He made it to 5th Dan which is a huge accomplishment and honor. He married his first wife Cindy on 2/28/76 and they had their daughter Krista in June of 1977.

David’s other passions were camping, hunting, fishing, his animals and most of all, his Grandchildren.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on his birthday 4/8/17 – the location and time is TBD. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lutheran Medical Center for their care. If you wish, donations may be made in his honor to ASPCA.

David made us all laugh and loved being the center of attention. His laugh was loud and contagious and will be truly missed. He leaves us rich in memories and with empty hearts.
