Dawna Ann Miller, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on May 7, 2022 in Westminster, Colorado. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on May 5, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur Presley and Annie Florence Tregeagle.
Dawna is survived by her children, Chris Moores, Suzanne Morales, William Craig Miller, Valerie Price, and Keith Miller, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Eugene Miller; son, Roger Miller; her parents, brothers, Quen and Prestley, and sisters, Pat and Nancy. She was the last remaining member of her generation on both sides of the family.
Dawna grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, living there where she met and later married Bill. They lived in Salt Lake until Bill joined the Army and was stationed in Georgia. They returned to Salt Lake City, where their family grew with the birth of their daughter Chris. In 1955 they moved to Price, Utah and the family expanded with the births of Suzanne, Craig, and Roger (deceased). Adventure struck again, and they moved to Colorado in 1967, where they then settled in and Valerie and Keith completed the family. Dawna and Bill remained in Colorado raising their family and ultimately retiring there for the remainder of their lives.
Dawna was a beautiful seamstress and made all three of her daughter’s wedding dresses. She loved crafts, crocheting, and counted cross stitch and has left precious handmade heirlooms for her family. She was very proud to be an Avon representative for 40+ years , where she developed many life-long friendships with her customers. She loved to garden and had a beautiful rose and tulip garden. For years she was a member of a bowling league, The Pin Pals, which is one of her talents she shared with her children and grandchildren, as she would often take them bowling during the summers. She had a fun sense of humor, often one to tease or lead a prank, and we have memories of her telling stories and having us laugh so hard we were in tears. She was very active in organizations of the LDS Church and gave service to many. She loved babies and cherished each one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchild. We have pictures of her loving each one of them and she loved them all!
