Denise K. Pio

Denise Kay Pio of Firestone departed this life on January 3, 2014. Denise was born June 21, 1950 in Glasgow, MT to Arne and Doris Ulvestad. She served in the United States Army from 1981-1989 with a tour in Germany. Following her military service she worked at Penrose St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, home health, and later as a pharmacy technician with Walgreens until ill health forced her to stay home. In her spare time she enjoyed fellowship, shopping, trips to Central City & Blackhawk and especially spending time with her family. Denise was a giver & always wanted to care for others and never burden others with her problems.

Denise is survived by her loving husband Charlie Archuleta, sons Timothy and Scott LaBard of Seattle, WA, brother Dennis Ulvestad of Billings, MT, grand-sons Matthew and Justin LaBard of Colorado Springs, nephew David Ulvestad of New Baltimore, MI, niece Kimberly Davis of Fountain, CO, niece Jamie Arfsten of Snyder, CO and great nieces Trinity, Tabitha, Tori and great-nephew Trevor Arfsten all of Snyder, CO, and many friends and distant family.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lon Ulvestad, infant sisters Lynn and Karen Ulvestad, and infant grand-son Christian LaBard.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 10:30am at Amazing Grace Community Church 541 E. 99th Place, Thornton CO 80229; lunch to follow service. Memorial donations may be made to Amazing Grace Community Church at the address above or to Rinn United Methodist Church 3783 Bella Rosa Parkway Frederick CO 80504.
