Dennis Robert Snider

Dennis was born on January 24, 1947, in Lyons, Colorado, to Edward & Jennie (Jane) Snider.

Dennis grew up in the Lyons and Denver area. He graduated from Mapleton High School, in Denver.

He joined the Navy and served for 10 years. He loved his time in the service and the opportunity to serve his country.

During his time in the Navy, Dennis married Pam, and they had two children together, Dennis Jr. and Patty.

After his time in the Navy, Dennis worked at Storage Tech for 25 Years as a Field Engineer Instructor. During this time, he also returned to college and completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Phoenix.

He married Barbara in 1981 and they began new adventures together. Dennis loved to ride motorcycles, and to go camping and boating with Barb.

Dennis worked on his own fitness through diet and exercise and was excited when he became an aquatics instructor and was able to teach classes at the local recreation center. He also loved giving out life saver candies to all the patrons.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara, brother, Jackie (Doris), sister, Candy Jo (Arnold) his children, Dennis Jr. (Kimmie), and Patty (Jim), his stepchildren, Anita, Mistie (Harry), Leslie (Gregg), grandchildren, Leah (Ryne) , Eric, BJ, Justin (Maggie), Dacee (Eduardo), Amanda (Matt), Nick (Bobbi), Thomas (Ashley), Joe (Kayleigh), 15 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Edward, and his mother, Jane.

Service Information:

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery – Highland, located at 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO, 80229, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Casual attire welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Roberta’s Legacy or to the North Metro Fire Rescue District (checks only). Station #64 was ever present to lift and support Dennis.
