Elaine lived in Colorado her entire life. She grew up in Commerce City, lived in Thornton during her young adulthood, later made her home in Pueblo West, and in her last couple of years moved to Sterling to be closer to her oldest daughter.
She was common law married to Edward Hebel, and together they had two children, Deanna and Mandi. She later married Roger Young. She also married Nicholas Peckinpaugh and later divorced him.
Elaine worked in several daycare centers caring for infants and toddlers and spent many years running a licensed home daycare. She also worked as a manager at the fuel desk of several travel centers. She was a strong and opinionated woman who loved children.
She is survived by her children Deanna Swaniger; Telynn Kerkoski and her spouse Alexander Kerkoski; and George Hester; her grandchild Colt Sell; her great-grandchildren Sasha Campbell and Taylor Sell; her siblings Ralph Adams, James Adams, Kathleen Adams, and Richard Adams; many nephews and nieces; and her best friend, Gwen Luellen.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae Adams (Babcock); her father, Robert Adams; her brothers Robert Adams and Alan Adams; her best friend, Janice Hester; and her granddaughter, Jordan Sell.
