Stan and family, I was saddened to learn of Betsy's passing.  I never knew the battle she was fighting as she never spoke of it when we were at the Post Office on business.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Should you need to talk, I'm here.

I believe God guided me to go to class reunion and meet Betsy for the last time. She was a great friend when I was in LHS.

"My condolences to Stan and the family."  Stan and Betsy were classmates and friends in high school. I also worked with them during their years in business. Betsy and I worked together to organize our class reunions over the years. Our class was blessed to have Betsy at our 50th class reunion. She was an inspiration and a dedicated person in every way and she will be deeply missed. I will always have fond memories of Betsy.

I have had the opportunity to know Stan and Betsy for more than 55 years. We have been peers and friends. I cannot think of either of them without smiling. I feel badly for Betsy's trials the past few years and for Stan and the loss that he must feel. For all her personal abilities and accomplishments, perhaps the lasting legacy she will leave behind is that of 'caring for others'.

Betsy was a wonderful hostess. I will always remember my trip to Denver and the trip, she and Stan took Eileen and I on to Utah. She was so generous and caring. We will miss her deeply. I remember when she started to make jam and she and I did it together and it became a yearly tradition, and she loved to give it away. My thoughts are with all of you at this time

Betsy came into our lives twenty years ago and quickly gained our respect and affection.  Her kindness and generosity was more than one could experience in a lifetime.  We extend our condolences and sympathy to Stan, Susie, Doug, and all of the family.  Although Betsy is gone from this world she will always have a place in our hearts

Betsy's quiet acts of kindness have filled my years of knowing her.  Through our Girl Scout years, into my employment with Stan, and through my own losses, she was always  there to offer support, sympathy and guidance.

Our family is sharing in your sorrow over the loss of Betsy, an amazing person and a true original who lead a remarkable life.  Doug, Laura, Stan, Susan, Ken and family please know that our family is keeping you in our thoughts and hearts during this very sad time.  It's been a privilege and a great pleasure to have had Betsy and the Black family as neighbours for the summer in Fenelon Falls.

We are honoured to have been loved by Betsy and will always carry with us the many lessons we've learned from her.  Betsy didn't teach by telling, she taught by doing.  She was dedicated to doing everything the best she could and to caring for those around her. She didn't let anybody or anything slow her down.  An inspiration and role model as a mother, teacher and friend.

My deepest sympathy to the both the Black and McCammon families.  Betsy was a wonderful person; she always had a smile for everyone and a way of making you feel special and welcome.  Your families, this world, have lost an angel from among us, but I know both her and Grandma Jean are hugging, smiling and loving us as they continue to watch over us from heaven. Betsy's mother Jean and my mother. Dorothy were the best of friends. I have witnessed Betsy' s tireless and loving care of her beloved mother.She was so unselfish and was her mother's devoted daughter ...the very best daughter one could imagine. After Jean passed, I hoped that Betsy would find peace with her own family and enjoy her grandchildren . But God had other plans .
May you rest in peace, Betsy, God bless you. Say hello to our mothers for me. I believe that when someone leaves us ...too early....God wants you with him because you were special.

Betsy has enriched my life in so many ways;  Throughout my journey with Cancer this year, she has given me the strength and positive attitude that is needed to fight this battle.  The Black family have been coming to Fenelon Falls every year since Doug and Susie were 2 and 4 and our children have grown up together and I've always felt Doug and Susie as younger siblings to my own.  I have so many cherished memories of wonderful times spent with Betsy and they will live with me forever  She was that kind of person. You will always feel blessed to have been a part of her life.

Stan and all the Blacks.  You had the most gracious mother and wife.  Her time here on earth was well served. Stan when you and Betsy came up here to TX it was so very special.  I must say Betsy loved those two special grandchildren of hers and I am sure she will continue to do so. Stan you are a strong brother & the many memories and children and grandchildren that surround you will get you through.  Betsy had many gifts and talents and I am sure those will be passed down to the next  generation.

Dynamite classmate of the Lakewood High School Class of 1964. Betsy and Stan were great friends of mine in high school, and we re-connected at several reunions over the years.
