Elizabeth was born in Kingsley, Iowa at home on her parents' farm to Roy and Phyllis VanBuskirk on September 11, 1926. She was the sixth of seven children. She graduated from Grand Meadow high school. Later in her life she met her husband Chuck Coady and married him while he was on leave from the Navy in 1956. Their first daughter, Michelle was born on September 29, 1957 and their second daughter Roxane was born on April 12, 1960. Elizabeth and Coady purchased their first home in 1962 in Northglenn where she lived until her death on October 19, 2016. Her husband preceded her in death in September of 1974. Elizabeth was a stay at home mom until her children started school at which time she started working part time at the Denver Dry Goods company in Northglenn, and worked into full time later. She was a professional lingerie fitter until the store closed in 1988. Elizabeth loved gardening and feeding the birds but never made time for hobbies since she was convinced that her house was never clean enough. She enjoyed visiting family and friends as often as possible in Iowa and Nebraska, and her other sister and family in Arizona. She also loved the trips she took with Roxane to Las Vegas and Blackhawk, Colorado for a little gambling, but she was hard pressed to even part with a quarter. She had a great sense of humor and was never afraid to tell you what she thought. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Roxane of Parker, Colorado and her six four legged grandchildren; her daughter Michelle of Stanton, Nebraska; and her three grandsons Josh, Caleb, and Kaden; her favorite sister Loy, 93, of Washta, Iowa who is with us today; and her baby sister Glee, 85, of Wakefield, Nebraska. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her three brothers; Phil, Vance, and Max; and by her sister May Ellen. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her including the well fed birds and squirrels in her backyard.
