Ellen Nelson

Ellen June Stanton was born on June 28, 1940 to LeRoy “Buzz” and Helen Rolfe Stanton in Bay City Michigan. She lived in many states including California, Texas, New Mexico and Montana. But once she arrived in Colorado she never wanted to leave. She raised 2 children in Broomfield.

Ellen worked many jobs in her lifetime including a truck stop waitress during high school. Her corporate career started at Colorado X-Ray and then Ball Corporation. Ellen stayed with Ball from 1980 until 1988. Then in 1989, her prior boss, from Ball, hired her at Confertech Intl. She was promoted to Facilities Manager, where she eventually had 4 locations under her supervision; one of which she supervised the development and building of. After a long tenure there, she worked for Level 3, Verizon, Frontier, and did some consulting with the Boulder School District.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, brother Benjamin, daughter Karen Kaye and many good friends and family. Ellen is survived by her son David (Cathy) and his children Nathan (Katie) and Bailey (Zach); her daughter Julie (Chad), and their children Alexander and Brittany; siblings from her mother, Carol and Rob; siblings from her father Tom (Dagi), Jinjer, and Vivian; and many more dear friends & family.
