Ellen Rose Newton

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Rose Newton on April 20, 2024 at the age of 84. Ellen went to be the Lord peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Ellen was born in Oshkosh, WI on March 5, 1940, graciously adopted by Edwin and Mary Johnson. She was one of two children.

After high school she went on to train at Milwaukee General Hospital to become an Xray technician. Ellen moved to California to teach Xray techs at a hospital in San Fransisco and was introduced to her husband Bruce, Navy vet who was working in a shipyard. They were married on August 3, 1968.

Bruce and Ellen moved to Thornton Colorado in 1973 where Ellen worked as an Xray technician and raised their son Brian. Ahead of the times, Ellen worked as one of the few women Chief Administrators of Radiology at several Colorado hospitals.

Ellen finally retired at the age of 75. Ellen was always thoughtful and so kind to every person and animal she encountered. She would do anything for the ones she loved; her family meant everything to her, and she loved them with all her heart.

Ellen is preceded in death by her father Edwin, mother Mary, sister Mary Ann, and daughter Lisa Marie. She is survived in death by her husband Bruce, son Brian, grandson Ian, granddaughter Ivy, grandson Iliah, and grandson Deegan.

Ellen will be deeply missed and will always be in our hearts. In loving memory to the most amazing woman we have ever known.
