Please join us in honoring Frank Sugihara, whose tremendous life showcased his tireless work ethic, his unwavering dedication, and his generous spirit, which has touched the lives and left lasting impressions in the hearts of his family and friends.
Frank is the dear son of Hichiro and Hanako Sugihara, Life-long Love and Husband of Elaine, Esteemed Father of Susan (Bob), Gary (Janice), and Linda. Through his children, Frank left a wonderful legacy. He has 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great, Great Granddaughter. He was the beloved brother of 8 siblings. Frank is preceded in death by his loving wife (Elaine), and all 8 of his siblings, except for Ruby Sugihara (Floyd’s wife).
With complete admiration, we applaud Frank’s full and accomplished life of 95 years! His journey began in Fort Lupton, Colorado in October of 1929. Frank was born into a farming community, which initiated his love of gardening. That love continued to blossom throughout his life, and became one of his trademarks as he grew lush vegetables yearly, generously sharing the mouthwatering results of his labors of love.
It was in the 1950’s that Frank deepened and diversified his skills, serving nearly a decade in the United States Army and Army Reserve. One of his most admirable talents, though, was his life long career as an engineering drafter. Through dedication and hard work, Frank became his company’s Chief Engineering Drafter who did it all-civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural!
It was on November 18, 1956 that the greatest adventure of Frank’s life began, marrying his one true love-Elaine. How deep their love, appreciation, loyalty, and faithfulness grew over the years! Truly, the greatest tribute to their love was on November 18th, 2021 when they celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary!
Over the years, their family grew to include Susan, Gary, and Linda! As a father, Frank’s tireless work ethic, his moral excellence and his honesty provided the strong role model his children needed. These strong and excellent qualities provided the essential building blocks that shaped his children’s own lives.
One activity we would be remiss not to mention was Frank’s absolute love of bowling. Both Frank and Elaine loved bowling, and they spent many years bowling together in several leagues, enjoying happy times with their friends.
Frank, how we want to THANK YOU for your zeal for life! THANK YOU for your many years of teaching by example. FOREVER we will cherish and be shaped by your ever-present qualities of respect, diligence, honesty, moral excellence, and generosity – Your legacy will live-on forever through the countless memories inscribed on our hearts.
WE LOVE YOU!
YOU ARE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!
