Gene Everett Hanson, age 95, of Denver, Colorado whet home to be with his Lord on March 2, 2018 after a brief illness. Gene was born October 31, 1922 near Concorde, Nebraska. He was a WW II veteran serving in the Army. Gene married his wife Marjorie on June 25, 1950 in Shenandoah, Iowa. Gene was retired from the United States Postal Service. Gene is survived by his daughter Cynthia Kelley, and his son Karl Hanson. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie.
A visitation for Gene will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. Reception will be immediately following interment in the Long's Peak Reception Room at Highland.
