The Lord has taken Gladys Dorothy Bauer, 86, of Thornton, CO. She died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 5:00AM. Gladys was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 56 years, Harry. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Zimmerman, of Loveland, CO; her three sons; Dennis, Rodney, & Gary; her grandchildren; Wesley, Wendy, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Scott, & Lauren; and her great grandchild, Marco. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat "Squeezer". Very special thanks and appreciation to her niece, Barbara Anderson and dear friend Rossi Forlenza for their love, commintment, sacrifice and care-giving in Gladys' last year of life. A public memorial service will be held at the Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery, 10201 No. Grant Street, Thornton, CO on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2:30PM. A private burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, where her ashes will be interred next to her husband.
