Harry Neil Langvardt, born November 17, 1928, died peacefully at Harvard Square retirement community on August 17, 2017, at 88 years of age. Harry was born in Alta Vista, Kansas, the youngest of five children born to August and Charlotte (Amsbury) Langvardt. After working on the family farm while growing up and graduating from Alta Vista High School, he married Donna Lou Conwell on January 17, 1951. After their first son, Brad, was born in Alta Vista, they moved to Colorado in 1952 where their second son, Mark, was born. Daughter Jewel was born next, and then the youngest, Kirk. Harry worked for Denver Tramway until 1957, then worked for various construction companies until 1978 when he started his own construction company, Langvardt’s Custom Interior Carpentry, with his son Mark. By this time, Harry had become a master carpenter providing interior trim services with outstanding craftsmanship for many luxury homes in Denver’s most exclusive neighborhoods. When he retired in 1991, he and Donna moved to Ft. Collins where he lived until 2014, when he moved to Watkins to live with Jewel and her husband.
