

Herbert Gustav Schulz of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away at the age of 69 on September 17, 2025, at St. Anthony North Hospital. He grew up, lived, worked and passed away within 20 miles of his birthplace.
Herb was born on February 2, 1956, to Adam and Ida Schulz in Brighton, Colorado. He was the youngest of 6 siblings - 2 half-brothers, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. After high school, Herb began a successful 45-year career with Pepcol Manufacturing in Denver where he worked alongside his father for a few years and his brother, Rudy, for many years.
Herb met Rica Ruimy in his early 20’s and they married in August of 1993. He was a loving and devoted husband until her passing in 2012.
In 2021 Herb retired and spent the remaining time relaxing at home with his adored cats.
Herb was predeceased by his father Adam Schulz, his mother Ida Schulz and his beloved wife, Rica Ruimy. He is survived by his siblings Alfred Neubauer (Doris) of Pennsylvania; Fritz Neubauer of Pfaffenhofen, Germany; Rudolf Schulz (Kathy) of Westminster, Colorado; Eva Schulz of Brighton, Colorado; and Rosmarie Cardinal of Northglenn, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society or the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, organizations he felt strongly about
