He was the youngest of four children.
Preceded in death by his sister, Rikki (Bob) Smart. He is survived by siblings Robert (Brenda) Fitzpatrick and Bunny (Kenny) McGough, children: Tracy (Britton) Hart of Atlanta, Jamie (Michael) Castor of Denver, J.J. Keough of Texas and Desiree Keough of Thornton and grandchildren: Everett and Blythe Hart and Oden Castor. Also, numerrous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He served from 1965-1969 in the US Marine Corps spending 1 year in Danang, Vietnam
Started work for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph in 1969 and continued as a cable splicer for 40 years.
He was a truly honorable man who loved to serve and help others. Singing and the Marine Corps were his main loves. He sang with several choirs and groups in the Denver area. Jim graduated from gunsmithing school and loved to reload ammunition. Atrue “Irish storyteller”, anyone who ever met him got a story or 2...or 6. He truly “Never met a stranger”.
