James "Jimmy" Edward Eason

Survived by his wife, Madeline "Tootsie"; daughter, Shannon; son, Mike (Michelle); his grandkids, Jacob, Damian, Maddie and Cruz; sister, Theresa (Dwight); brother, David (Shirley); numerous relatives and close friends in which he considered family. Preceded in death by his parents, Noland & Rita Eason; brothers, Dennis Eason, Noland & Diane Eason.

Jimmy spent many years working at Coors Brewery where he ended up retiring in 2006 at the age of 55. He was a master at taking care of his yard. Everyone in the neighborhood was always jealous of how green his lawn was. Jimmy thrived to purchase as many concrete decorations as possible to make his backyard look like a sanctuary and zoo. He liked to camp, fish, go to parties, and host parties, but most of the time he would like to have a Miller Lite in his hand and enjoy just genuine conversation with his family. After finding out that the old preschool his children had attended became a local watering hole, Jimmy and Tootsie became members at The Eagles in Thornton. They were very active within the club as they would go watch Broncos Games on Sundays, and play Mr. and Mrs. Clause for the members' kids every year.

Jimmy's pride and joy was being around his grandkids. They were his heart and sole and would do ANYTHING to make sure they were taken care of. He would attend ALL sporting events for them and was most recently excited about being able to watch his two youngest play sports. Regardless of how he was feeling, we knew he'd be there to support them.

Jimmy was the foundation of his family. Always giving advice and wanting to help out. Challenging them to always push themselves forward and be better.

We will miss his grumpy one line quotes, contiguous laughs, listening to him cheer on the grandkids, but we will carry on his legacy with the things he instilled in us.

A visitation for James will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM all at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A reception will follow services at The Eagle's Club, 8651 Huron St., Thornton, CO 80260.
