After that, Janet attended Beauty School in Colorado Springs where she lived for a short time. Janet and Eddie then got married on Dec. 2, 1967. Together they built a wonderful life full of love, laughter, and sewing.
Eddie and Janet lived in Rocky Ford from 1967-1970. On January 1, 1970, they moved to Limon where they stayed until August 1974. Eddie and Janet moved to Denver where they spent the next 58 years building their family.
Janet was primarily a homemaker and stay at home mom. Janet had several jobs throughout her life such as working at Mrs. Mayo’s Cake Shop, Associated Grocers, and at the State Health Department. After this, Janet was a full-time grandma to her eleven grandchildren.
Janet found her greatest joy in sewing, turning simple pieces of fabric into treasured keepsakes for the people she loved most. Whether it was handmade quilts, holiday outfits, or small mended treasures, every stitch was sewn with care and devotion. Her creations wrapped her family not only in warmth, but in the unmistakable feeling of being deeply loved.
Janet’s greatest joy was her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, celebrating their accomplishments, and sharing in their everyday moments. Her love for them was deep and enduring, a steady presence they will carry with them always.
