

Jeanette Olds, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on March 20, 1950, in Gary, Indiana, and later became a longtime resident of Lafayette, Colorado, where she built a life centered on family.
Jeanette was known for her caring heart and steady presence. She put family first, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and a listening ear. Whether through quiet support or joyful gatherings, she created a home filled with warmth and memories that will be cherished forever.
She thoroughly enjoyed her employment as a bakery manager, a role that reflected her work ethic and love for serving others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Olds; her beloved granddaughter, Rikki Olds; her parents; and a brother and sister.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Robert; daughter, Lori; brother, Frank Brown; sister, Carol Gardner; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
Jeanette’s family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her loved ones, resting in the eternal glory and presence of God, free from pain and surrounded by peace.
Jeanette’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for the grace and compassion she shared so freely. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
A service to celebrate Jeanette’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations or acts of kindness be made in her memory.
