
Jesus Flores Pinela of Northglenn, Colorado, entered into rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on March 10, 2016, at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, CO, at the age of 86. Jesus was born on November 9, 1929, in Santa Ana, Chihuahua, Mexico. He migrated to Colorado in the early 1950’s to work as a Migrant farm worker. He met and married his beautiful wife Mary Jesusita Pinela and later raised his family, who loved him very much. Jesus loved our Lord Jesus Christ, his family, his garden, his culture and music. He taught his family to love, and to have faith and to be strong in the Challenges of Life. He gave from his heart, his knowledge and wisdom and faith, and sought out to help those who were in need. Jesus was fluent in Spanish and self-taught himself speaking English from the Bible. He was very spiritual man, who became a member of the Holy Cross Church in Commerce City, and later joined the Knights of Columbus. In the early 1970’s Jesus was hired on by IBM, where he later retired from IBM. Later in years he became an American Citizen with the help of two distinguished gentleman Hal Myers and John Black. Jesus founded The De Colores Group in Longmont Colorado, and organized the first Mexican Fiesta in Longmont, CO. He became well known in the Longmont Colorado community as well as other communities, as a God loving, generous and giving man. He later received a Colorado Channel 9 news Who Cares Award. Jesus worked for a radio station in Longmont, KLMO, where he played Mexican music every Sunday, to entertain those who loved their music. Jesus will be missed greatly by his family and his friends. Surviving are his sons, Paul Pinela, Dave Pinela, Ernest Pinela, and his daughter Irma Clough (Pinela). Jesus is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jesusita Pinela, and his daughters, Martha Marie Robison, and Carmen Pinela.
