I loved how you loved mom. All of mom's children loved you for that. You are in our hearts now and always John.

Cheryl and I are sadden and heart broken and are very sorry for your loss. We were out of town for the last few weeks when I received notice when Pappy passed away, I wish that we could have been back in time for the services. John was a good friend at work and out of work at Fedex I used to love running down to Campo together and he will be missed.

Without knowing too many details of John’s personal philosophies, I will venture to say that he has been a man of character and strength.  He chose to work throughout his life to provide for the ones he loved.  Many of us at FedEx wondered why he continued to harass the other people on the highways but I believe he learned to embrace the comfort of the road as a way to provide a life for his family.  
John was a very ornery man with a passion to give hell to anyone he decided could participate in his life. He enjoyed the common banter between men, and as many who’ll read this will agree, he held his own, and then some.  
Being a trucker is not an easy life but it affords us a solid way to provide a comfortable life to the ones we love.  I think that too often, our loved ones only see the absence of us when life happens.  From my perspective, a professional driver feels left out while they are supporting the lifestyles of their families. We trade our life experiences and our health to support our spouses, children and sometimes our extended families.  John chose to continue this support for his lifetime.  God bless you, my fellow trucker and friend.  May you rest in peace and have eternal life.
