John T. Kroah of Commerce City, Colorado passed away April 27, 2018. He was born December 27, 1953 in Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania to Harry “Elzie” and Virginia (Abplanalp) Kroah. John served in the Army and was honorably discharged. He met and married Kathy Upshaw on April 7, 1973 in Carthage, New York and together they had 3 children. John owned Choice Metals, a sheet metal company, and worked long, hard hours for 24 years. Although he enjoyed his business and the people he worked with, his true joy came from his family. John is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children Kristopher (Sherrie) Kroah, Kelly (Jessica) Kroah and Kyle Kroah; grandchildren Kristina Kroah, Kayden Burlingame-Kroah and Alexis Kroah; sisters Dora Predko and Deb Stahli. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Sandy Izbinski, Darla Edwards and Karen Stahli. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 4 from 3-7pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5 at 10am. Both at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229.
