Mario Garcia Jr. passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 46. He was born on April 25, 1979, in El Paso, Texas, to Mario and Yvonne Garcia, who cherished him deeply.
Mario was a devoted father to his three daughters: Izzy (14), Laney (13), and Evie (6). They were the center of his world, and his love for them was unwavering and unconditional.
He was a beloved brother to Amanda Garcia, Nicholas and wife Carrie Garcia. Uncle to nephew Jaden Garcia (18)
He brought pride and joy to his family throughout his life.
Mario was a passionate sports fanatic, known for his competitive spirit and deep loyalty to the teams he loved. A talented musician, his love for his saxophone and jazz band led him to Colorado, where he attended and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. There, he fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and the Flatirons, as well as all the Colorado Sports. Though he resided in Colorado, his heart was still in Texas. Always and forever a Dallas Cowboys fan!
He also had a deep passion and love for golf. Rain or shine, Mario could always be found out on the course, determined to perfect his swing—a reflection of his persistence, focus, and love for the game.
Mario will be remembered for his sharp wit, infectious humor, and passion for life and loved ones. His presence, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
