It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Pamela "Pam" Gant Konkel Aldstadt Crawford. Pam left this world peacefully on March 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and strength that touched the lives of so many.
Pam was born on September 19, 1942, in South Camberwell, a suburb of London. She was the cherished daughter of Reginald Gant, who served in the Royal Air Force, and Gertrude Margaret Lydia Gant, a talented and dedicated seamstress who worked in some of the finest tailoring companies in Soho, London. Pam was adopted and brought to America with Mr. and Mrs. Konkel, where she was welcomed into a new home filled with love and opportunity. Although she didn’t grow up alongside her biological siblings, Pam reconnected with her brother Brian and her sister Irene later in life. Their reunion in Myrtle Beach was a cherished memory filled with laughter and love as they made up for lost time.
Pam married Ronald L. Aldstadt, and together they had a son, Curtis Aldstadt. Tragically, Pam's husband Ronald was taken from us on August 2, 1977. Left to raise Curtis on her own, Pam showed incredible strength as she devoted herself to providing love, stability, and guidance to her son.
As Curtis grew older, he married Janice, and they have two daughters, Jessica Aldstadt and MacKenzie Woods. Pam adored her granddaughters and took immense pride in being part of their lives. She always wanted the best for them and would go out of her way to ensure they were well cared for, loved, and supported.
Later in life, Pam found love again and married Stanford Rea "Red" Crawford. Together, they devoted themselves to the work of the Pillar of Fire Church at Zarephath. Red passed away on December 20, 2013, but their shared faith remained a guiding light in Pam’s life, giving her strength and purpose.
Pam's family expanded when she welcomed stepchildren Diane Kopec and her husband Kevin, and Scott Crawford and his wife Ruth. Through this marriage, Pam also embraced her step-grandchildren: Emily Crawford, Jamie Crawford, and Matt Crawford. She loved her family deeply and treasured the time she spent with them.
Pam had a remarkable ability to bring people together. Whether she was hosting family gatherings or sharing her life’s stories, Pam created a sense of warmth that made everyone feel valued and cared for. Known for her incredible organization, Pam always ensured everything was set up, planned, and taken care of with thoughtfulness and care. Whether it was a family event or a simple act of kindness, Pam was dedicated to making sure those around her had what they needed — be it food, clothing, or a listening ear.
Pam's love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. She dedicated her life to serving Him through her work as a teacher in a Christian school, guiding students not only academically but also spiritually. Pam’s wisdom and caring nature made her a source of comfort and advice for many. She often had answers to questions that had never even been asked, always ready to help those around her. Her compassion touched countless lives, and her role as a teacher allowed her to guide and support others in both their personal and academic growth.
Pam's life was defined by resilience, faith, and unwavering love. She carried her past with grace, overcoming hardships while embracing life’s blessings. Her gentle spirit, sense of humor, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pam will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the strength and wisdom she carried throughout her life. Her family will hold her memory close, cherishing the laughter, guidance, and warmth she brought to their lives.
We will forever hold her in our hearts, grateful for the love and memories she gifted us.
