Patricia Lynn Dietrich, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 19, 2024, in Federal Heights, Colorado. Born on January 31, 1946, in Owatonna, Minnesota, Patricia spent her formative years in Austin, Minnesota, where she cultivated lifelong friendships and cherished memories.
In May 1968, Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Herman "Tony" Dietrich, embarking on a beautiful journey of love and partnership that lasted until Tony's passing. Together, they raised three really awesome children: Herman "Tony" Dietrich Jr., Patrick “the favorite” (Dana) Dietrich, and Kandee Dietrich. Family was the center of her world; she found joy in letting her kids win card/board games (and they will always remember the groan she would let out when she would accidentally win).
Patricia was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Tony, and her parents, Robert and Dorothy Morgan. She is survived by her children and five cherished grandchildren: Robert Dietrich, Salena (Jonathan Galey) Dietrich, Patrick Duke Dietrich, Sawyer Dietrich, and Willow Dietrich, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Her legacy is also lovingly carried on by her siblings: Virginia (Hector) Baldus, John Morgan, Robert (Debbie) Morgan Jr., Thomas (Julie) Morgan, Cynthia (Harold) Roberts, and Maria (Carlos) Carranza. Patricia's family and friends will remember her as a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose laughter could light up any room. She was known for her infectious and one of kind laugh.
Patricia's life was a testament to love, family, and happiness. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Speaking of what she left behind, she left a hell of a lot of stuff to her kids who have no idea what to do with it all. So, if you find yourself in need of mason jars, pampered chef paring knifes or throw pillows – you know who to call.
The Hallmark Network was also devastated by her passing and has already reached out to see who will be taking over the reins, as they are concerned about going bankrupt.
Her Celebration of Life, Patty's Tea Party, will be held on December 15, 2024, at the Wheat Ridge Event Center, 4005 Kipling St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Her family asks that you bring your favorite memory of their mother, the funnier the better.
She will be deeply missed.
