

Paula Jo Law Schaefer , a beacon of love and compassion, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Born on February 2, 1956, in Portsmouth Virginia, Paula was the cherished daughter of Donald Paul Fitzpatrick and Roberta Bowlby She leaves behind a legacy that will forever resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
Paula's journey through life was marked by her unwavering empathy and kindness. After graduating with a degree in massage therapy a field where she could share her healing touch she dedicated herself to working in admissions for various hospitals throughout the Denver area. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life; it defined who she was as a person.
She is survived by her beloved husband Milton Dean Schaefer ; their son Nicholas Adam Law; grandchildren Tanner Weston Law and Elxias Madrid Law; son Cory Schafer, grandson Declan Schafer; Mother Roberta Bowlby ; Brother Michael Fitzpatrick, sister Amy Good; brother-in-law Mark Good; sister-in-law Robyn Fitzpatrick; nieces Jenifer Davis and Melyssa Bowman; nephew Daniel Fitzpatrick; as well as her best friend Brett Hearn; Godsons Mick and Tony. Paula’s warmth touched everyone around her, her family often remarked that she had an extraordinary ability to make each person feel valued and loved. T
he essence of Paula can be summed up in the selflessness she exhibited daily. Whether offering support during difficult times or celebrating joyous moments with those she loved most dearly, Paula made it clear that caring for others was at the core of who she was. Her spirit served not only as an inspiration but also as a guiding compass for all who knew her a reminder to treat one another with kindness.
Though we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman whose laughter filled our lives with joy, we find solace knowing that Paula’s love will continue to shine brightly within us all. She has left an indelible mark on our hearts a testament to how deeply one person's love can impact so many lives.
Preceded in death by her father Donald Paul Fitzpatrick and Grandparents Vernon and Genevive McCurdy, Paula now joins them in eternal peace while leaving behind countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love.
As we gather together to celebrate Paula's life the most empathetic soul we've ever known we hold tight to the lessons she's imparted: Love fiercely without reservation and always strive to uplift those around you.
