Raymond L. Christensen
Ray was a person that many liked and loved, and easily befriended and will be greatly missed. Ray succumbed to cancer on June 21st 2012 after a long and hard fought battle.
Let me tell you a bit about Ray. He was born in Kimball, Nebraska on the 22nd of April 1935. Rays family moved to Colorado when he was a young child, where he and his bothers and sisters were raised on a farm just south of Longmont. After graduating from Longmont High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served with the 1st Marine Recon Battalion with great pride and honor. After leaving the Corps he came back to Colorado where he met his wife Patricia, and were married on May 21st 1961. Ray and Pat eventually moved to Westminster, Colorado where they raised their children. Ray worked as an auto mechanic for the greatest part of his life. He loved to go fishing and camping and often times took his grand kids. Ray also loved to do Scroll Work which is a very intricate form of wood working.
Ray spent his final years wheel chair bound after a series of most unfortunate turn of events which left him paralyzed from the waist down, this might have slowed him down, but he never quit. Those of us that were blessed in knowing him should take great inspiration in his love of life and gallant battle.
On November 11th 1994 Ray's world was shattered by the passing of his beloved wife Patty.
Ray is survived by;
