Raymond Jaramillo

Raymond was born August 28th, 1935 in Capulin Colorado, the son of the late Bernardo Jaramillo and Martha Jaramillo of Denver Colorado.

Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lydia Jaramillo, daughter Deborah, and siblings Viola Wicker, Leo Jaramillo and baby Benito Jaramillo.

Raymond was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church, Westminster Colorado, where he served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also, served with the United States Naval Reserves.

Ray was a strong, loving, courageous, kind and highly spirited man. He loved helping and protecting others. That would later follow with his career choice in law enforcement. Ray went on to serve many years with the Northglenn Police Department where he was soon promoted to police sergeant. Ray subsequently would continue to work, mentor and courageously protect his fellow citizens.

Ray was also a business man. He owned two successful businesses which included an Ace Hardware Store and Jaramillo's Car Wash.

In Ray's spare time he enjoyed buying and selling at the local Flea Market, going to Blackhawk and traveling the country with his late wife Lydia.

More than anything in his world he loved spending time and being in the company of his large family and many friends.

Ray is survived by one brother, Moses Jaramillo of Lakewood CO. He has two daughters and two son-in-laws. Geri Crisman (Keith) of Berthoud Colorado, and Lynne Rodriguez (Alex) of Westminster Colorado. One son Raymond Gregory Jaramillo and one daughter-in-law (Cheryl) of Thornton Colorado. Ray has 11 grandchildren; Heather Morris, Adam Crisman, Breanna Steele, Raymond Derek Jaramillo, Christina Blakley, Raymond Derek Jaramillo Jr., Daniel Rodriguez, Valarie Davenport, Eric Roth, Nichole Roth, and Kyle VanDerVegt. He also has 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

A rosary will be held at 10:30am and Mass at 11:00AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3141W. 96th Ave. 80031, Westminster Colorado, on Thursday April 30th. A reception and celebration of Ray's life will be held off-site after services on the same day.
