Ray was born in Clevland, Ohio on December 20th, 1986, to Mary Ann Milczewski and Joseph Milczewski. He was the younger brother to Jacob Milcewski and created friendships with others until they felt like family to him. Always adventurous and couldn’t hold still, Ray always had to be trying something new or disappearing on some quest.
He was truly too smart for school, and he would get bored and hang out with college kids in Michigan instead of being in class in high school. If you ask anyone that spoke with him, he would give out calculus questions or calculate the physics of a person dancing. His library within his home would always be bursting off the shelves and over hundreds of books are on his audible account. Most were history, other myths and legends of far-off places.
If he wasn’t learning Ray would be traveling either the world or backpacking through trails. He would go through desolate canyons in Utah or trek deep into the Colorado mountains until the only thing you can see is the milky-way and hear nothing but your breath and the trees moving from the wind. Ray had traveled to almost every state in the U.S. and had been to a good portion of Europe, Thailand, China, The Philippines, Korea, and Mexico. His favorite city to visit was Prague, Cech Republic as it was not only a city full of history but always had something to do. He was proud he was able to travel to these places with his brother and mother, sharing these experiences with his favorite people.
Then when at home Ray would spend time with his new wife Isis Piper-Webber where they were married on March 20th, 2025, and his dogs Argos and Remi. He had been with Isis for 8 years previously to them getting married and had been on many adventures throughout their time together. The best time they got to share together with friends and family was the BBQ’s Ray would host at his house every year since 2016. He would cook all the food and always had live music whenever possible. Many people stated it was the best thing to look forward to in the year.
Ray was always someone with the biggest heart and would go out of his way to be there for someone else. He had many struggles in life, but it never stopped him from being there when a person was at their lowest. He touched so many lives, even the people that met him for a split second and he will be greatly missed by his friends, brother, mother, father, and wife. Now he gets to travel the cosmos with his old pal Samuel P. Dogsworth and see the galaxy he would always be staring at.
His family will be holding a Celebration of Life on October 9th, 2025, at the Red Barn Group Picnic Area on 9467 Drew Hill Rd, Golden, CO 80403 at 12pm-10pm. Food will be provided and please wear bright colors as Ray was always someone full of rainbows and unicorns. For those unable to come please feel free to contact his wife and send a letter with a story so it can be shared with others mourning his passing. You will always be in everyone’s heart and minds.
