

He graduated from Michigan State University with his Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1981. Rick started his career in Corpus Christi, TX with Reed Tool Company before continuing his 35-year tenure with W.R. Grace/GCP where he worked his way up to Director of Sales through numerous positions across North America. He enjoyed building strong relationships with his colleagues, customers, and their families.
Above all else, Rick was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in the time he spent with them. His love for his family was constant and fierce; he was the protector, supporter, and role model for his children and grandchild. His love, respect, and loyalty for his wife serves as an aspiration for all.
Rick was passionate about Michigan State’s football and basketball teams and the lifelong friendships that he made while there. He and his family led an adventurous life and traveled the world together. He captained boats on Lake Michigan, the Caribbean, and Florida. His enjoyment of skiing returned in his 40s and became a staple in his and his family’s life that led him to Colorado. He loved the freedom that the mountains and water gave him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Peg Conlin and brother, Michael Conlin. He is survived by his loving wife of over 41 years, Linda Conlin, children, Ryan Conlin (Jennifer), Brianna Conlin, and Shane Conlin, granddaughter, Brynlee Conlin, father, Earl Conlin, brothers, Jim Conlin and Bill Conlin, and sister, Caye Quigley. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery at 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229 on Monday, May 19th, 2025 at 12:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at 1:00 pm at the same location.
