My dear friend, Edith, I am so saddened by your enormous loss.  You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers now and forever.  God Bless Richard's memory.  His love and personal care for you and his community is a wonderful legacy.

Rich, old friend, it’s hard to say goodbye.  We’ve known each other for so many years, seen so many changes in each other and ourselves, it’s hard to see you go.
  If you remember, and I’m sure you do, we first met in the early 1970’s as part of a loose-knit group of young people, most of us coming from Pearl-Mack homes.  Although you and I were about the same age, our little gang consisted of younger and older kids that built friendships based on our common interests; cars and everything associated with them, playing cards, drinking beer, telling stories, listening to rock & roll, hanging out and being young.  We didn’t cause trouble, didn’t destroy property, we never had the cops come break up a party.  We were just living our lives and trying to get by, all the while trying to understand and adapt to the rapidly changing world we were growing up in.  
  It was easy to stay in touch over the years because I worked on cars and you were the “Wiz” at the auto parts counter.  I always looked forward to seeing you to tell you about the road trip I had just taken or to hear about your latest trip or the one you had in the planning stage.  Sometimes I spent more time in the parts store than I should have just so we could chat awhile about food or shopping or work or the important people in our lives.  You always spoke fondly and respectfully of you mother and sister and nephews and nieces, which I regret now that I had never met.   I never heard you speak with anger or malice towards anyone.  You were a jovial soul with a sharp mind, a big heart and a ready laugh.  
  Goodbye, old friend. You will be missed.

Rich you left all of us way too early,he worked with us at Monterey Auto Parts, and every day was a delight  to have him around..Smart witty, and always so considerate.. We will never forget Holloweens, rich would always dress up, as a balarina,tutu and all, as Phillsbury doughboy etc..he was such a delight to be around..Rest in peace Rich...love Curt and Maryanne Martin

Although the time I spent working with Rich was short. I had known him for a couple of years. He always wore a smile. He was the most caring and considerate soul. He would always stop in and say hello even when he didn;t work with us. "just checkin' in on you see if you need anything." he'd say. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his mom and sister, friends and family. God Bless.

Rich,You wre a GREAT FRIEND to Aaron and I for Years helping us out with advice and food when times were hard We all will miss you very much!And that smile will help us though hard times still.

Rich I miss you so much already.  He always went out of his way to do and see things he knew I would enjoy.  We had such fun planning and taking trips.  He was so knowledgeable about the places we went.  Bless your heart my wonderful friend!

I was blessed to know Richard. His wonderful since of humor will be missed.He took such great care of my sister and had great fun on there many trips. We will miss the wonderful dinners and entertainment. RIP RICH!

Rich was intelligent, full of humor, dependable, and caring. His quirky shopping habits and funny stories are unforgetable. I have great memories of us going black friday shopping, he was a great sport.  I am so glad he shared his time with me and wish I could have had more.

I met Rich when I started working at Carquest in 2000.  I worked with him for nearly 7 yrs.  He was a generous, caring man who had a great since of humor.  I missed working with him and spending time with him.  He will be missed by many and that is how a good man is defined, by the amount of frineds they have and this man had many.  RIP Rich.

Richard was a 'pal' and really defines the word.  I'm grateful for his accepting attitude and wry humor.  Rich knew what was important and stood his ground.  That's a gift he shared and an example he left us.

 " We worked with Rich for many years at Holt Distributing. We had some great times together at work and partying out on the back dock. Always happy and smiling, we will miss you Rich!"

I'll always cherish the memories of my precious little 5 year old neighbor boy, who grew up to be such a kind, generous, and loving gentleman.
