Born on August 30, 1966, in Denver, CO, to Robert and Maureen Nemmers, Bob (Pat) was the fourth of five children. He grew up in Arvada and graduated from Arvada Senior High School with the class of 1985. He continued his undergraduate education at Metropolitan State University of Denver, majoring in public relations. On June 11, 1988, Bob (Pat) married his first love, Debbie Martinez, who lost a heroic battle with cancer in 1996. They were happily married for 8 years. He was fortunate to find love again later in life with Susan Lewis; and on July 7, 2007, Bob (Pat) and Sue were wed in Las Vegas, NV. They eventually settled in Thornton, CO. When he wasn’t working, Bob (Pat) enjoyed indulging his passions for WWII and nautical history, Tom Clancy novels, gardening, trains, and especially baseball. He was a life-long fan of the Phillies and Rockies. He had a love for 1940s-era music, jazz, cooking, and a deep and abiding faith in God.
Bob’s (Pat’s) Christian faith ran deep. He was active for many years in Teens Encounter Christ, at his local parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and as a fraternal member of The Capuchin Franciscans, Province of St. Conrad. Pat exemplified faith through service, including fostering several dogs for U.S. soldiers on deployment; a calling he shared with his beloved wife, Sue. Their life together was full of happiness, travel, weekend adventures, and most of all, family. He especially cherished his many nieces and nephews.
Bob is survived by Sue, his wife of 17 years, his mother Maureen, his four siblings - Kathy, Joe (Susana), Mary, and John, his seven nieces and nephews - Ryan, Caitlin, Allie, Aidan, Ben, Lauren and Jack, and his step-nieces- Rhian and Liadan, and step-nephew Fitzpatrick McCarty.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, located at 11385 Grant Dr, Northglenn, CO 80233. A reception will be held at the church immediately following.
