Robert Walsh

Robert Carl Walsh was born in Frederick, Colorado July 25, 1925 to parents John & Olga. He grew up in Colorado. In 1948, he married Florence Gerstner and they had 4 children. He and Florence lived in Commerce City for 56 years, until her death. He continued to live in Commerce City, surrounded by his family, after Florence had passed.

Robert enjoyed wood crafting with Florence and was a big Broncos and Rockies fan.

He was a quiet, hardworking man who was very dedicated to his family. He will be deeply missed by all of his loved ones.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Patricia Teter (Rick), Claudia Teter (Randy), Roberta Walsh; daughter-in-law, Teresa Walsh, surviving spouse of John Walsh; grandchildren, Ricky Teter (Cathy), Misty Ray (Chad), April Burdorf (Chad), Brandy Waterhouse (Willie), Kari Teter Adolf (Steve), Brandon Teter (Nikki), Brian Welling (Jennifer), Heather Welling; great-grandchildren, Marissa Teter, Todd Teter, Aharon Teter, Brianna Ray, Brooklyn Ray, Hannah Burdorf, Meghan Burdorf, Alexis Waterhouse, Laci Waterhouse, Wyatt Waterhouse, Lani Waterhouse, Tyler Teter, Nathan Skinner, Leila Skinner, Katie Teter, Ashley Welling, Wyatt Welling, Aubrie Welling, Joshua Welling, Amanda Ferguson (Josh), Michael Adolf (Courtney); great-great-grandchildren, Johnny Ferguson, Ayden Furguson, Aurelia Furguson, Haley Adolf; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law, and extended family, Richard Montoya, Sharon Montoya, Crystal, Ray, Daimen & Dominic, Katie, Kevin, Ariel, and Brittney Watts.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Florence, and their son, John Walsh; father, John (Jack)Walsh; mother, Olga Claudia; brother, John; sisters Olga Braden, Hildur Schiffner; brother in-law, Wayne Schiffner; father in-law, Peter Gerstner; mother in-law, Josephine Gerstner; and brother-in-law, Harold Gerstner.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, immediately followed by a Celebration of Robert’s Life at 2:00 pm, both at Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel.
