

He is survived by daughters, Vanessa Carlson (Robert) and Larissa Lago; brothers, Ed Carlson, James (Annie) McCall, and Robert (Lorma) McCall; sisters, Sandy Sivets, Debbie (Dave) Garner, and Karen (Dave) Smith; nephews, Matt Gregg, Jesse Carlson, Andy McCall, Dave McCall, Taylor McCall, Trevor Garner, and Erik (Jennifer) Zertuche; nieces, Sher (Chad) Petrie, Pete (Carmel) Sivets, Sun Bishop, Stacey (Phillip) Guzman, Lisa McCall, Joyce McCall, Rita McCall, Bretta McCall, Amanda Zertuche, Mallory (Brenton) Ness, Elise Salbach, and Emily Smith.
Ron is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary (Jake) Bustos; brothers-in-law, Ferman Jr., (Jonalee) Elizondo and Mondo (Sonja) De La Rosa; nephews, Terry (Carolyn) Baca, Gabe (Peggy) Elizondo, Justin (Rosie) Bustos, Caleb Bustos, and Deavin De La Rosa; nieces, Andrea (Mitch) White and Rylie De La Rosa; grandchildren, Ania Alarid, Dante Alarid, Alia Lago, and Renzie Lago; great granddaughter, Anastasia Gonzalez; and many additional family and friends.
He is preceded in death by brother, Leo McCall, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Joe Baca.
Ron was born in Bellville, Kansas and relocated with his family to Colorado at the tender age of 1. He graduated from Adams City High School in 1967, where he met his high school sweetheart and soulmate Betty Carlson. They married on February 14, 1970, and resided in Commerce City, Colorado.
He was very devoted to his family and friends. He was always willing to help in any situation. He had the talent to fix anything. He received a certificate in General Motors training, a diploma in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) and trained in Motorcycle Mechanics. He enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment operator with the State Highway Department and then the State Parks department.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, fishing, camping, spending time in the mountains, cheering on his favorite team, the Raiders and spending quality time with family and friends. He was very caring and loving to all who encountered. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service for Ronald will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:00am followed by a committal service at 11:00am, and a reception from 11:30am-1:30pm, all at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
