

Ronald “Ron” C. Eberhart, 64, passed away surrounded by family in his Thornton, Colorado home on October 7th 2015. Ron is survived by his wife Georgia Pappas, His brother Donald G. Eberhart of Sedalia, Colorado, His first wife and mother of his Children Alyn S. Hansen of Golden, Colorado, daughter Wendi King of Golden, Colorado, son Justin Eberhart of Thornton, Colorado, and his grandchildren Lennon, Shyla, and Brenna.
Ron was born on November 1st, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Catherine Eberhart. He graduated from West High School in 1968. Ron married Alyn S. Hansen on October 4th, 1970. He entered the Air Force at Grand Forks Air Force Base in 1970 and was elevated to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his return to Colorado in 1974 Ron became a Principal at Western Trading Post, a position he retained until the close of the company. Ron graduated from Metropolitan State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 1980. Ron was very proud of his early work with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC). He won many high level awards for both leadership and marksmanship and was the top ranked shooter on his Rifle Team. These organizations also supported his love of aviation and helped propel him toward receiving his pilot’s licence. Even before his long time employment with Epsilon, Ron always enjoyed working with computers. He made sure that Western Trading Post was the first business in town to have a server, which he did by building and maintaining it himself. Ron also enjoyed photography and his photographs won multiple awards including Nature's Best Magazine 2004 - Highly Honored - Zoos and Aquariums (2004) the North American Nature Photography Association 1st Place Mountain Fauna (2006). His works were also featured in gallery shows as well as in several national publications including National Geographic Traveler. Ron was also an accomplished life-long ice skater with many awards, and a true passion for entertaining his audience. One of his more recent awards was 1st place at the National Showcase in the Adult Duet division (2007), an honor he shared with his wife and long time skating partner Georgia Pappas.
