Tonya Lee Bergdoll

Tonya was born on January 11, 1952 in San Diego, California to Roy E. and Marjorie Brothwell. She passed December 28, 2018 in Thornton, Colorado. After serving 13 years in the United States Army as a nurse, she met Ken Bergdoll and was married on June 27, 1992.

Tonya had many passions in life which kept her quite busy! At the top of her list, other than her family and cooking, was the Greyhound Rescue Association, where she served as a foster home for rescued dogs. She would give them love and sometimes training before they were adopted out. Those dogs loved her as much as she loved them!

She poured love into everything she did and was loved by everyone in return.

She was devoted to the Army, and was proud to serve her country! Tonya would have reenlisted again, if she were given the opportunity.

Tonya is preceded in death by her father Roy E. Brothwell and her brother Roy Brothwell.

Carrying on Tonya's loving memory and spirit is: her mother Marjorie Brothwell, sister Marjean Parliament, two stepsons Tom Bergdoll and Kyle Bergdoll and her step grandchildren: Alec Bergdoll, Kayley Bergdoll, Isaiah Bergdoll and Jacob Bergdoll; additionally various nieces, nephews, friends, and the many rescued Greyhound dogs.

A memorial service for Tonya will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel followed by a committal service at Olinger Highland Cemetery both services are located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado 80229.
