

Agnes M Brauser passed away on December 16, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born April 30, 1925, in Eugene, Oregon she was the third youngest of fifteen children born to John and Mary Schoenecker. Raised on her family farm in Woodburn, Oregon Agnes learned the value of hard work and love of family – values which guided her entire life. During her early teens, she met the love of her life Bud Brauser, whom she married in July 1945.
Agnes and Bud raised four children, built a successful business, Central Cylinder Head, and enjoyed gardening, bowling, trips to Reno, and time at their Lincoln City beach house. When her youngest son was in first grade, Agnes started working in the cosmetics department at Raleigh Hills Fred Meyer, retiring in 1978 after 17 years of service and never missing a day of work due to illness.
Agnes predeceased by her husband, Bud, and her son, Steve; she is survived by her children Mike (Barb) Brauser, Nancy Palasky, and Barbara (Dan) Twohy; her daughter-in-law, Karen Brauser; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her family will always remember Grandma Agnes for her sincere interest in each person’s life. She cared deeply for her family and was a devout Catholic.
Agnes lived a fulfilling life at Hearthstone Retirement Community where she made many friends during her final seven years. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Hearthstone and the staff at OHSU where she received excellent care in the final days of her life.
A funeral Mass for Agnes will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27 at St John Fisher Catholic Church followed by a reception in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St John Fisher Catholic Church.
