

Gladena Jean "Dino" Nylander, of Wilsonville, Oregon, passed away on June 19, 2024. She was born in Wellington, Kansas on September 6, 1949. Known for her spirited personality, Dino was celebrated as a loving wife and mother, whose sassy and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was also an avid animal lover, particularly of cats, which resonated through her support of animal welfare organizations.
Dino had a passion for gardening, which not only brought beauty to her surroundings but also joy to those who had the pleasure of experiencing her garden. Her enthusiasm for sports was evident as she was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas Jayhawks, celebrating each game with excitement and spirit.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Peter; her daughter, Kelli, and partner, Kai; her brothers, Tim Dwyer and his wife Tyra of Wellington, KS, Mike Dwyer and his wife April of Lawrence, KS; her sister, Kathy Niblack of Hutchinson, KS; her sister-in-law Kathi Dwyer of Wellington, KS, and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Dino was preceded in death by her daughter, Jodi; her parents Leo and Doris Dwyer, her brother Tom Dwyer and her grandmother Gladys Armstrong.
The family will plan services at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dino can be made to the Humane Society or ASPCA, reflecting her love for animals.
