JoAnne Margaret Ulrich

JoAnne passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on January 7, 2018. JoAnne was born to Michael and Mary Serres and raised in Tigard among the cucumbers and tomatoes of the Serres family greenhouses. She attended St. Anthony’s grade school, St. Mary’s Academy and Portland State University. After graduation JoAnne traveled with her best friend for nine weeks in Europe. Upon return, she began her banking career at First Interstate Bank in Tigard followed by U.S. Bank. JoAnne worked in the banking industry for 43 years where she made many lasting friendships. JoAnne married Darrell Eugene Ulrich on a snowy Decemeber 26, 1970 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. They were blessed with three children that she was able to take time away from her career to raise.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary; brother, Michael; daughter-in-law, Angela; and sister-in-law, Pat. She is survived by her husband, Darrell; children, Theodore, Katherine; son-in-law, Dave, Brian; and daughter-in-law Heather; grandchildren, Margaret, James, Annabelle, and Nova; sisters, Diane Love, Dorothy Canavan and Doreen Hune; and many other family members and friends. She leaves behind a legacy full of love for her many friends and family.

Services will be held Saturday, January 20th 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Sherwood. Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the main service at 11 a.m., with a reception until 2 p.m. Afterwards, there will be a procession to Riverview Cemetery in Portland for graveside ceremonies.
