Kathleen M. Schumacher, Kate to most, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. At her passing she was accompanied by her ex-husband Terry, her son Jason, her oldest sister Pat, and the staff at All Comfort Residential Care Facility, where she had been residing for several months. She is also survived by two other sisters and three brothers. Kate made immediate friends wherever she went; whether at checkout lines to her local pool where she loved to swim, she would talk with people and get to know them and their lives. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 1260 NW Saltzman Road, Portland, Ore.
