

Born May 23, 1932, to Grover and Dorothy DeWolfe, Marian graduated from Clawson High School in Michigan in 1950. Marian graduated from Michigan State University in 1954, their first female to earn a degree in applied entomology. She spent her working years in the educational and social services fields in Michigan. She moved to Oregon in 2006.
She was an active volunteer in her community, serving at the Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge in Sherwood, tutoring in the Sherwood School District and assisting at the Unity World Healing Center in West Linn. Among her hobbies was a love of goats, drawing with colored pencils and photography.
Marian is survived by her children, Pam Waffle, Tom Roberts, Carol Heydlauff and Russell Roberts; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, in Unity World Healing Center, West Linn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends of the Tualatin Refuge, Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge or to the Unity World Healing Renovation Fund.
