

Mark Allen Fowler, born on December 10th, 1954 in Grants Pass, Oregon, and passed away on July 10, 2024. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, and studied Mechanical Engineering at Portland State University. A brilliant mind and a loving soul. His legacy lives far beyond his achievements; it resides in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
Mark was a true lifelong learner. His intellect knew no bounds, and he made great contributions in his work as a mechanical engineer. Whether it was solving complex problems or inventing revolutionary machinery, Mark left an indelible mark. His passion for knowledge and natural curiosity inspired everyone around him and he found great joy in helping others learn and reach their potential.
But beyond his intellect, Mark was a devoted family man. He cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His eyes would light up when he spoke about his family—the great traveling adventures he took with his wife, the laughter shared with his children, and the joy of watching his grandchildren grow was the very heart of who he was. A true helper, confidant, and sounding board - Mark was someone to turn to.
Mark accomplished much in his life. He loved his work as a mechanical engineer, was an advanced certified scuba diver, skydived, traveled to many destinations across the world, was the Oregon State Champion bowler, and enjoyed much of his down time on the golf course - a true passion and hobby of his. Whatever Mark was doing, he did it well, and he was truly present and invested in it.
Mark leaves behind a legacy of brilliance, kindness, and love. He will be missed by his surviving wife Debra Fowler, daughters Kristyn Sherman (Mark Sherman) and Heather Schulz (Joseph Schulz), and grandchildren Landon Sherman, Logan Sherman, Hailey Broughton and Carter Broughton, along with his adored brother Robert Fowler (Peggy Fowler) and numerous nephews and nieces.
