Tony was born on May 10, 1946 to Estanislao and Tita Calon in Laoag, Philippines. After graduating from Santo Tomas University College of Medicine and Surgery in 1969, he went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at the Philippines General Hospital.
In medical school, he met Celia, and they wed in 1970 and continued their medical residency in the US in 1972. They went on to have 3 children, Maritoni “Candy”, Maricelle “Cherry”, and Mariannette “Cheese”. After finishing his training, Tony opened a private cardiology and internal medicine practice in Havre de Grace in 1978 and continued to have a successful busy practice for many years.
Besides medicine he was passionate about: art, animals-especially chickens, plants, cooking, shopping and dancing.
In retirement, he and Celia split their time in the Philippines and in the US while enjoying their grandchildren, Zoe age 25, Isabel age 18, Maya age 18, Mia age 17, Milan age 17, Gabriel age 15, and Augustine age 7.
He is loved, missed, and survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the LEMMON FUNERAL HOME OF DULANEY VALLEY INC., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Sunday, May 9, 2-5pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Monday, May 10 at 10am and will be Live Streamed on the Lemmon Funeral Home FaceBook page.
Interment the adjoining cemetery.
