Barbara Elizabeth Wagoner

Barbara "Betsy" Elizabeth Wagoner, age 68, of Essex, Maryland passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Barbara was born in Maryland to the late Jack and Stella Wagoner and was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Wagoner, Jr. She is survived by her loving sister Cindy Campbell (Donald Campbell) and longtime dear friends Patricia Harvey and Cyndi Burton.

She graduated from Patterson High School in 1974 and she later attended Essex Community College, graduating in 1985 with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse in a variety of settings for close to 40 years. Barbara retired from the Maryland Department of Health in 2021 after dedicating the last 20 years of her nursing career to public health.

An animal lover with a special place in her heart for cats, Barbara rescued and provided a loving home for many cats over the years including her latest crew, Syd, Wolfie, and George. She was a history buff and an avid reader. Barbara also enjoyed watching British mysteries, baking, gardening, sewing, knitting, and spending time at the beach.

She was kind, generous, creative and intelligent with a dry sense of humor. She was well-loved and leaves behind many friends who will miss her greatly.

A Celebration of Life gathering for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10:00AM to

12:00 PM at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00PM.

There will be a reception following the service.
