Born March 5, 1939 in Chiclayo, Peru, she was the daughter of the late Jose Esquives and wife, Margarita Medianero.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Ray Gilbert; daughter, Carol Gilbert, son, Eric Gilbert; sisters, Vicky and Rosa Esquives and brother, Carlos Esquives.
