My sincere condolences. Mr. Hunter was my favorite teacher ever. He was so kind and interesting to talk to. I think about him often. I remember talking a lot about Harper's Ferry. He left wonderful memories for so many that will last forever.  Elaine Pollack class of 1997.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Hunter.  He taught me at Dumbarton, and at Towson High.  The only years I enjoyed history class.  I remember a field trip we had to Hampton Mansion.  He was very passionate about the estate.  Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Hunter was my history teacher in my freshman year. I always found his classes to be interesting and engaging. I still can envision the classroom where he taught us. His dedication to history education will not be forgotten.

I was so sad to read this.  My deepest condolences to all of you!  Mr. Hunter was my absolute favorite teacher at Dumbarton Jr High and Towson High School.   🩷

Towson high class of 92, Mr. Hunter was for sure one of those standout teachers, that I will never forget! Sending peace to your family.

Mr. Hunter was my favorite history teacher in middle school at Dumbarton Middle ‘80-82. Such a nice man, made learning history enjoyable. So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear this. He was my history teacher and basketball coach. He made it fun and I have some great memories of his calmness and humor. Now that I am older, I don’t know how he put up with us. Lol RIP Mr. Hunter. Prayers go out to his family.

So sorry for your loss! Sending all the love! I met Mr. Hunter in April of 2024 when I worked at MMH doing daily activities for all the residents! I love Mr. Hunter so much! He would always hold my hand and raise it up in the air and say love you when he was in his room. He will be missed

My deepest sympathy to Cherie, Karen, Sue, Carol, Carol Ann and family.   I will always remember Scott with a mischievous grin and a twinkle in his eye. He had such a great sense of humor and was fun to be around.  I have many great memories of him at family get-togethers and on camping trips. He certainly had a "larger than life" personality.  I know he will be missed!

We were blessed twice when Karen became part of our family, for we were also welcome into the Hunter family by Scott, Cherie, and a few years later by you Sue. With sadness and love, Marianne and Bill.

Scottie - wise men say only fools rush in, but we made it for 25 amazing years. While my heart is broken my memories are beautiful. You are the love of my life and I am just so thankful to God that you are a whole person again and at peace. Have fun in heaven until we meet again.💗

Hunter Family,

My memories of Scott go back a lifetime. My high school memories started with homeroom, history & government classes, golf team and of course our exchange program to Italy.  He (and Karen) influenced my decision to attend Shepherd.  And then many years later, to my surprise and excitement our paths crossed again on Ivy Church Rd.  I remember how happy I was to find out he and Sue were my neighbors.  I had to stop calling him Mr. Hunter and instead say Scott.  For a lot of years we shared great times, and for those I'll always be thankful. 
Both Scott and Sue were more than friends, more than neighbors to me. I send my love to ya'll and will be thinking of you this weekend.

Fond memories of you and your dad from a time that seems forever ago. It's funny - I actually saw the original Ghostbusters (finally) in my 40's with my kids.   I guess it was much cooler back in the 80's when we "saw it" a couple of times.

Mr. Hunter was such a kind and forgiving teacher. He was always so positive and helpful. I was also friends with Karen and he used to stop and pick me up at my bus stop and take me to school. What a great human. My deepest sympathy is to Karen and her family, he will be missed greatly.
